Big win today against potentially difficult opponents unfortunatley for Garden Village they had to play us with only 10 fit players and as a result of this the game was effectively over as a contest after 30 mins but credit must go to GV for continuing to play with a good spirit until the final whistle scorers for venture were, Ben Richards 4, Conner Arrowsmith 3, Mario Duarte 2, Helder Ramos and Fran Rowlands 1 apiece.

Todays game was between the two newly formed teams, the early initiative was taken up by us which was met by staunch defending from FCJ and this was pretty much the pattern thru ought the game, on the score sheet today was Ross Jones 3, Ben Richards 2, Danny Jones, Mario Duarte and David Walker 1 each.

Today saw the visit of last seasons league Runners-up Borras park albion who regrettably for them tried to turn this game into a very ugly and bad tempered battle however as a result of their indiscipline and frustration they had two of their players sent off in the last 20 mins of the game. On the football front we should have had the game wrapped up by half-time but numerous missed chances meant it was only 1.0 , we continued to dominate in the 2nd half and again made hard work for ourselves by hitting the woodwork and missing a bag full of chances. Full praise must be given to every player in our team today for not retaliating and performing a very controlled , disciplined and focused job despite being subjected to severe provocation. Today saw us visit the home of the current junior champions Ruthin Town YFC who have won every junior football honour there is over the past three years. We really had to "up our game today" after last weeks very poor performance the lads knew it and they did not disappoint in a game that displayed some fantastic flowing football, a real advert for junior Welsh football. Special mention for our keeper Jake Barker who made a superb save from a penalty kick at a crucial time in the match he was also very unlucky conceding after pushing a very well struck shot onto the post only to see it trickle over the line. Steady performance by us today against a hard working Penycae team who gave everything for the cause and non more so than their goal keeper who made a string of fabulous saves to deny our forwards, we scored some some very good goals today with Paul Messham grabbing a hat trick ,Connor Arrowsmith, Mario Duarte 1 goal apiece and Ben Richards with a well taken penalty.

Comfortable result for us today the game was pretty much the same as last week with the Penycae goal keeper inspiring his team by making a string of saves all through the game including a penalty kick, scorers for Venture were Bruno with a thunderbolt shot, Ross Jones and Paul Messham

Another good performance from the boys we dominated the first half and went in at h-t 2 - 0 up we started strongly again in the 2nd half and quickly went 4 - 0 up and this gave us the chance to experiment with players and positions and to bring on our subs who were itching to play this naturally upset our rhythm and during this period we gave away a needless free kick and then a penalty which resulted in goals against us however the result was never in doubt and we finished very strongly in the last 15 mins and should have added at least two more goals to our total, goalscorers today were Ben ( 3 ) and Connor ( 1 ) .

We only played in patches in this match winning it 2 - 1 against a very useful chirk side who came determined to win and who in fairness were excellent defending with a keeper who made half a dozen magnificent saves aswell as a penalty kick to keep his team in the game and although we didnt play particulary well which we haven't done for several weeks, we manage to keep winning, scorers for venture were Connor Arrowsmith and Ben Richards.

Another hard fought win for us,teams are definitely raising their game against us and marchweil were no exception to that, we had a bit of fortune when a well struck ball was hit into the box by ross jones and good pressure from connor arrowsmith forced a marchweil defender into a quick decision which unfortunately for him ended up in his own net, the wheel of fortune then swung in favour of marchweil when in two separate incidents the same defender made a crucial last ditch tackle and then a few minutes later a goal line clearance to deny both our forwards certain goals, 1 - 0 HT . Second half was pretty even not too many chances either way until we had a penalty awarded against us which we thought was very harsh,however we know how to dig out results and in dramatic fashion helder ramos with almost the last kick of the game lobbed the ball perfectly over the advancing keeper and into an empty net, it was all about the win today and we have another three points on the board.

Decent performance from us against a very game Garden Village team who played with good spirit to the final whistle scorers for Venture were Helder Ramos with a hat trick, Ben Richards 1, Paul Messham 1 and Ross Jones.

This was a very evenly contested game against top quality opponents unfortunately the atrocious weather turned the pitch into a mud bath and the game into more of a physical battle than we would have liked which gave a slight advantage in strength to the older team having said that we had several excellent clear-cut chances with good attempts from Mario Duarte and Connor Arrowsmith which the BPR keeper managed to save as well as Helder Ramos hitting the woodwork with the keeper beat but it proves that when you play strong teams you have to take your chances and that cost us today. We were pressing hard for an equaliser and I don't think there would have been any complaints had this tie gone into extra-time however with the last kick of the game BPR sealed the win with a free kick, no disgrace then in this defeat and some very positive comments about us from BPR, good luck to them for the rest of the competition. We can now look forward to concentrating on our remaining league fixtures in the new year and hopefully achieve our main objective of winning the league title. Extremely windy conditions today made it very difficult to play any fluent football and at times this was a very scrappy affair , 2-0 at half time. With three changes and a "good talking too" at half time we started the second half and played slightly better netting 5 goals, we now need 1 point from our last two games to clinch the league title but we are certainly not taking anything for granted there is still a big job to do before we are over the finishing line. Scorers today Ben Richards 3, Paul Messham, Ross Jones, Paul Messham, Connor Arrowsmith 1 each and an own goal.

Despite the huge amount of possession and dominance that we had in this game we could only manage to score three goals against a spirited and hard working penycae team and we made hard work for ourselves by hitting woodwork instead of finishing good chances,no excuses. Scorers for Venture were ,, Connor Arrowsmith, Paul Messham and kyran Munson. It has been a pleasure watching the team play this season and at times the quality of our football has been breathtaking we have now secured the U15 league champions title and deservedly so they have worked very hard for it we have one more game left to complete our fixture list. We are already in the process of putting together a very impressive list of matches against some high profile teams from out of the area who have been asking to play us and this will definitely continue to improve the development of the players in this team which alongside of winning the league title has always been our main objective. WELL DONE LADS
